Meet our board of directors

Margo Ruark is the Artistic Director of the Youth Dance Theater of Greater Chicago. She discovered her passion for contemporary dance at South Dakota State University and earned a Master’s in Dance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She founded Margo Ruark and Dancers, touring regionally to critical acclaim. A career highlight was serving as a guest artist at The Black Horse Theater in Copenhagen. Margo is a member of the Dance Studio Owner's Association Inner Circle and the National Dance Education Association. In addition to her dance expertise, she holds an MBA from DePaul University.

Alisa Finney founded the Melbourne Ballet Company in 2007 to showcase Australian classical dance talent and provide a platform for emerging and established artists. As Director, she leveraged her expertise in ballet training, dance administration, marketing, and business management to build a dynamic artistic platform. She serves on multiple dance boards, and we are thrilled to have her on ours. Alisa is respected for maintaining artistic integrity while producing innovative, relevant work. Under her leadership, the Melbourne Ballet Company has achieved international acclaim.

Rosalyn is one of Chicago’s rising stars in hair and makeup artistry, known for her expertise as a master stylist and her passion for creativity. With a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for the arts, she brings a unique perspective to every project she touches. She thrives in environments where creativity and community meet, which is why she’s sharing her talents with us. As a dedicated board member, Rosalyn blends her artistic vision with leadership, helping to shape and support the creative community.
